How to make Crumbl Copycat Chocolate Cake Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups unsalted butter softened
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • For the frosting:
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 4 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a couple baking sheets with parchment and set aside.
  • In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine the softened butter, brown sugar and sugar. Cream for about 2 minutes, until combined and smooth.
  • Add in the vanilla, eggs and corn syrup. Mix well.
  • Add in the cocoa, flour, baking soda, corn starch and salt. Mix thoroughly, scraping down the sides often.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Using a large ice cream scoop, divide the dough between the prepared baking sheets.
