Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a few baking sheets with parchment and set aside.
In the bowl of a stand mixer, cream together the softened butter and sugar.
Add in the vanilla and eggs and mix well to combine.
Add in the flour, baking powder and salt. Mix thoroughly, scraping down the sides often.
Fold in the Oreos until eveningly distributed.
Using a large ice cream scoop, divide the cookie dough between the baking sheets.
Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 10 minutes or until the centers are set.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before decorating.
For the frosting - in the bowl of a stand mixer, combine the softened butter and about half of the powdered sugar.
Mix on low speed until combined.
