How to make Deep Dish Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chocolate syrup
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 Hershey's chocolate bar

Instructions

  • Start by preheating your oven to 350°F.
  • Then cream together the butter and brown sugar until a light and fluffy texture is achieved.
  • Beat in the egg, followed by the baking soda and vanilla extract.
  • Once those ingredients are incorporated into the mix, add in the flour and salt until everything is evenly combined.
  • Now it’s time to stir in the chocolate chips—feel free to adjust the amount depending on how chocolaty you want your cookies.
  • Then, add the chocolate syrup to the cookie dough and give it a good stir before scooping.
  • Scoop cookie into a deep dish cookie pan and place one square of Hershey's chocolate in the center, cover with more cookie dough and repeat until all the slots in the cookie pan are full.
  • Bake the cookies for about 12-15 minutes or until golden brown on top before letting it cool completely before serving.
  • Enjoy!
