How to make Meatball Sliders

Ingredients

  • 12 rolls Hawaiian rolls
  • 12 balls pre-cooked meatballs
  • 2 cups pasta sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • 3 tbsp. Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tbsp. Italian seasoning
  • 3 tbsp. Olive oil

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Spray a 9x13 inch pan with non-stick spray and set aside.
  • In a medium sauce pan, combine pasta sauce and meatballs, and heat over medium-low for about 10 minutes, until warmed through.
  • Cut your 12 Hawaiian rolls in half, and place the bottom half of the rolls into the 9x13 inch pan.
  • Layer about half of the mozzarella cheese on the bottom rolls.
  • Remove meatballs from the heat and place one meatball onto each roll, and drizzle about 2 tbsp. Of pasta sauce over each meatball.
  • Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over top of the saucy meatballs.
  • Drizzle a bit more pasta sauce over the meatballs. You won’t use the entire 2 cups, we want sauce but not soggy sliders, so you can just discard any leftover sauce.
  • Place the top buns into the sliders.
  • In a small bowl, stir together olive oil, parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Brush the oil mixture over top of the sliders.
  • Bake for 20 minutes, tenting the sliders with foil for the last half of the baking time to avoid over browning the tops.
  • Use a knife to cut the rolls apart and serve!
