Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
Scrub the potatoes and poke several holes throughout.
Bake these right on your oven grates, or on a baking rack, for 40 minutes.
Remove from the oven, and allow the potatoes to cool.
Melt the 2 tbsp. of butter by microwaving in a microwave safe bowl for 30 second increments.
Scoop out the insides of the potatoes, and brush both sides with the melted butter. Season with the salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Return these to the oven to bake for about 15 minutes to crisp up the skins.
Add your shredded cheese and cooked bacon, and bake again for about 5 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
Top with sour cream and green onions, or your other toppings you like, and enjoy!
