This spellbook has a rang of spells from immortality to raising the dead. Be careful to not light the candle on Halloween night or else the 3 Sanderson sisters will come back for one night to cause havoc.

Past the danger, these brownies are rich, moist and are a fun Halloween themed desert especially if you love a bit of Hocus Pocus.

Ingredients Needed:

  • Brownie mix
  • Water (as called for on the box)
  • Oil (as called for on the box)
  • Eggs (as called for on the box)
  • Powdered sugar
  • Unsalted butter
  • Cocoa powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • Milk or heavy cream
  • Vanilla extract
  • Black gel food coloring
  • Eyeball candies
Ingredients such as brownie mix, water, oil, and eggs along with powdered sugar, unsalted butter, cocoa powder, a pinch of salt, milk or heavy cream, vanilla extract, black gel food coloring, and eyeball candies. These are in bowl separated from each other.

Hocus Pocus Spell Book Brownies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 box brownie mix + ingredients from the instructions water, oil, eggs
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • pinch salt
  • 1 tablespoon milk or heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • Black gel food coloring
  • Eyeball candies

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line a 9×13 baking dish with parchment.
  • In a large mixing bowl, prepare the brownies according to directions.
  • Pour the batter evenly into the 9×13 pan, and bake according to the time on the box.
  • Allow the brownies to cool and set up firm in the refrigerator.
  • Cut the brownies into 8 rectangles, you’ll have a little extra brownie on the ends to enjoy.
  • For the frosting, in a large mixing bowl, beat the butter, powdered sugar, and cocoa powder.
  • Add the salt, vanilla, a generous amount of black gel coloring, and milk, if needed, and mix until smooth.
  • Add the frosting to a piping bag with a writing frosting tip.
  • Decorate the brownies to resemble a spell book. For the eye candies, add a dallop of frosting to the back of them, and press into the brownie carefully.
