How to Make Reese’s Muddy Buddies

If you love Reese’s pieces and mini cups, this recipe is for you. This dessert bowl is perfect for large parties or gatherings and is so easy to make. You just toss everything together and enjoy!

This popular dessert is referred to as muddy buddies or puppy chow but it is the same dessert.

Ingredients Needed:

  • Chex cereal
  • Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Peanut butter
  • Unsalted butter
  • Vanilla
  • Powdered sugar
  • Mini Reese’s cups
  • Reese’s Pieces

Reese’s Muddy Buddies

How to make Reese's Muddy Buddies

Ingredients
  

  • 9 cups Chex cereal
  • 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups mini reeses cups
  • 1 1/2 cups Reese's Pieces candy

Instructions
 

  • In a microwave safe bowl, heat the chocolate chips, peanut butter, butter, and vanilla for 30 second increments, stirring well between, until melted.
  • Pour this over the chex cereal and stir the cereal to coat.
  • Add the powdered sugar to two gallon storage bags.
  • Divide the chocolate coated cereal between the bags and shake to coat with the powdered sugar.
  • Allow this to set for 1 hour.
  • Before serving, add in the mini reeses cups and reeses pieces, and mix.
